SolaX

The easiest cloud key to obtain of any manufacturer here. You generate it yourself in the SolaX portal, free, in about a minute, with nobody to ask and nothing to wait for.

Tested against a simulator

Exercised against a SolaX Cloud simulator, with both inverted sign conventions pinned by tests. No physical inverter yet.

Getting your token

  1. Sign in at solaxcloud.com
  2. Service → API → obtain tokenID
  3. Copy the token
  4. Find your registration number — the serial printed on the Wi-Fi dongle, also shown under Device → Inverter

Connecting

  1. Settings → Equipment → SolaX Cloud
  2. Paste the token and the registration number
  3. Check it works, then save

How house load is worked out

SolaX reports production, grid and battery but not household consumption directly. Sunplug derives it — what your panels make, plus what comes from the grid, plus what the battery is giving, is what the house is using. The arithmetic is exact; nothing is estimated.

Five minutes is the floor

SolaX updates its cloud roughly every five minutes regardless of how often Sunplug asks, so polling faster returns the same reading. Good enough for a steady day, behind on a changeable one.

When it does not work

"Token invalid"

SolaX reports failures inside an otherwise successful response, so this is their message rather than a network problem. Regenerate the token in the portal — they can be revoked when an account changes.

The numbers look inverted

SolaX treats export as positive where Sunplug treats import as positive, and Sunplug flips it. If your dashboard shows power flowing the wrong way, tell me — it means a firmware version reports differently and I will fix it.
